
Belsyre Court is a landmark, Grade II Listed mixed-use development dating from 1936. Arranged in a ‘U’-shaped form around a south-facing courtyard, the building comprises a shopping arcade fronting onto Woodstock Road, with four floors of commercial accommodation above and two residential wings to the west.
A phased refurbishment took place between 2023 and 2026, revitalising the shared spaces and transforming the 2nd floor into a contemporary workspace and the 3rd & 4th floors into a Yoga & Wellness centre.
Following the success of the 2nd floor refurbishment, the 3rd and 4th floors were refurbished for a Yoga and Wellness Centre.
The extensive refurbishment significantly improved the appearance and functionality of the spaces, and introduced additional energy reduction measures, including new roof insulation, secondary glazing and rooftop photovoltaic panels (which will generate over 3,000 kWh annually). The combination of these measures enabled the project to achieve an EPC Rating of A – a significant achievement for 90 Year old, Grade II Listed building.
Through careful conservation, sustainable retrofit and thoughtful adaptation, the refurbishment has restored Belsyre Court’s long-term vitality and commercial viability.
