A bold, energy efficient refurbishment of 3 terraced, Grade II Listed, late Georgian houses to form 26 ensuite graduate bedrooms.
The project will see an ambitious upgrading of the fabric, with the aim to create an exemplar for how to sensitively upgrade a listed building, whilst maintain elements of significance. Breathable, woodfibre Internal wall insulation, state of the art secondary glazing along with increased floor and loft insulation will reduce the heating demand of building by 58%.
Alongside this, gas boilers will be removed, with heating and hot water instead generated by 3 Air Source Heat Pumps, all complimented by an MVHR System.
A new common room extension at the ground floor will become a hub for the site, with opened and greened landscape spaces connecting to adjacent properties owned by St. John’s College.
