TSH Architects have designed a new student accommodation building for Corpus Christi College, Oxford. There will be 45 ensuite student bedrooms over 5 storeys arranged 5 to a flat with each flat having a kitchen / living space. The developer for the project is Cantay Investments Ltd and Stepnells Ltd are the contractors.

For the last weekend of January, the whole office headed off to Les Arcs, France, for the 2012 TSH Architects snowboard trip.

This was probably the best year yet for snow. The weekend started well with brilliant sunshine on the first afternoon. On the second evening the snow started falling and continued through the night, providing the perfect conditions for snowboarding for the remainder of the trip.

Clients, consultants and contractors joined TSH Architects at the St. Benedict’s Sixth Form Centre last night to celebrate the completion and opening of the building.

Following guided tours of the building, guests gathered in the main hall for presentations from Nick Hardy and Tim Sara, Head of St. Benedict’s.

TSH Architects have set up a team for Movember, a moustache growing charity event to raise funds for and awareness of testicular cancer.

The new sixth form building for St. Thomas More  Catholic School and Technology College, Nuneaton, was officially opened on Monday 26^th September by Bishop William Kenney of the Archdiocese of Birmingham.

The event was attended by past and present staff, students, governors, members of the design team, including Nick hardy and Mark Oliver, and local church and government dignitaries.

The atrium auditorium provided an impressive setting for the ceremonial mass, which was followed by a buffet lunch and guided tours of the building.

The new building opened it’s doors to students in September, with 93 sixth formers commencing their studies in the state-of-the-art facility.

St Thomas More School and Technology College is a co-educational Catholic high school. Being an ‘outstanding school,’ St. Thomas More has applied for a sixth form centre under the presumption process to the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and Local Authority.

The bid, for which TSH Architects prepared scheme designs, was successful and the resulting Sixth Form Centre provides excellent facilities, further enhancing the schools reputation.

The 2450m2, 3 storey building is focussed around a triple height atrium space. This central area provides a venue for social or educational gathering.

The teaching accommodation includes flexible teaching space , a small lecture theatre/ cinema, dance/ drama studio, science laboratories, art studios and a state of the art C.D.T. design studio and workshop.

St Benedict’s School is a voluntary-aided, co-educational Catholic high school, founded in 1963. Being an ‘outstanding school,’ St. Benedict’s was able to apply for a sixth form centre under the presumption process to the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) and Local Authority.

The bid, for which TSH Architects prepared scheme designs, was successful and the resulting Sixth Form Centre provides excellent facilities, further enhancing the schools reputation.

The 2050m2, 3 storey building accommodates 200 sixth form students, providing a range of facilities including flexible teaching space , a small lecture theatre/ cinema, dance/ drama studio, science laboratories and a rooftop garden with a contemplation pavilion.

The focal point of the building is a two storey multi-use hall, overlooked by a first floor balcony and the library.

A new foundation years extension to St. Benedict’s Catholic primary School, Atherstone, has been completed, just in time for the new school year.

The extension provides much needed space to the two foundation year classrooms who will share it. Sliding folding doors have been used between the classrooms and the extension, and also to outside, to provide maximum flexibility in how the school can use the space.

Although only a modest extension, it provides huge benefits and has given the whole school a lift.
